PEORIA, Ill. — A woman arrested for a fatal hit-and-run crash in Peoria earlier this year received the maximum prison sentence Thursday.
40-year-old Diana Schick, who pleaded guilty, will serve 11 years behind bars, on two counts of drunk driving for the three-vehicle crash February 12 on Western Avenue that killed Cherish Coleman, a 30-year old mother of three.
The 11-year sentence is added to four years Schick already faced for leaving the scene of the fatal crash.
Schick pleaded guilty in October.
Coleman was a passenger in one of the cars involved in the crash.
