PEORIA, Ill. — A Peoria home is a total loss after being engulfed in flames early Wednesday morning.
Battalion Chief Steve Rada said the call for a structure fire in the area of W. Latrobe and S. Griswold came in around 1:50 a.m.
When firefighters arrived at the scene, they found heavy smoke on the first and second floors.
Rada said it took crews about two hours to knock down the fire.
No one was inside the home which is set to be demolished.
No firefighter injuries were reported.
