SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White’s office is reminding drivers that they can renew their license plate stickers online.
Spokesperson Henry Haupt, with the Secretary of State’s Office, said Driver’s Services Facilities are often inundated with people anxious to renew their stickers, but that task can easily be done online.
Once you complete the form, all you have to do is print out your receipt and store it in your glove compartment.
“The receipt is good for 30 days after the expiration of their license sticker. So, that gives them plenty of time to renew that sticker in the mail,” Haupt said.
You can renew your license plate stickers at ilsos.gov.
Haupt said stickers ordered online should arrive in about 1-2 weeks.
