PEORIA, Ill. – Peoria Firefighters say as many as six people were injured — at least one seriously — following an accident not far from Northwoods Mall Saturday night.
Crews were called to War Memorial and Brandywine Drives just after 7:15 p.m. for the two-vehicle crash, according to Battalion Chief Scott Strum.
Strum says one person had to be extricated using the “Jaws of Life.” That person was said to be in “serious” condition at a local hospital. Five other people had non-life-threatening injuries.
Traffic on War Memorial was shut down for a time because of the crash.
No word from Peoria Police on any citations, or the cause of the crash.
