PEKIN, Ill. –A teacher in Pekin is accused of laying hands on a student, allegedly choking them in recent days.
An incident report obtained by 25 News shows 49-year-old Jackie Gray was arrested last week for an incident dated March 25th at Wilson Intermediate School.
Investigators say Wilson allegedly choked a special needs student.
Gray has issued statements in her defense already — telling Pekin Police the student “would pinch and hit other children in the class to agitate them.”
WEEK-TV reports Gray admitted to placing her hand on the back of the student’s neck, but “only for a few seconds”
She’ll be back in court May 23.
