PEORIA, Ill. – A special tribute to one of Peoria’s favorite native sons will come to Peoria in a few months.
The Scottish Rite Theatre, the Betty Jayne Brimmer Center for the Performing Arts, and the Fogelberg Foundation will be presenting a weekend of events celebrating Dan Fogelburg starting September 30th.
Organizers say “Home Free” features a group of singers playing some Fogelberg favorites, and “Native Son” will feature singers, dancers, and a 12 piece band.
“This special tribute honors the timeless music of Dan Fogelberg on the 50th anniversary of his debut album,” organizers say in a news release about “Home Free.” “The theatrical combination of storytelling, music, and dance will introduce a new generation to the musical legacy of Dan Fogelberg and re-inspire old friends of Dan’s music.”
Tickets for the performances go on sale Monday, May 16.
