CHILLICOTHE, Ill. — Authorities are updating information in the case of a person founde dead at the Summer Camp Music Festival over the weekend.
Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood says an autopsy to determine Chase S. Edwards’ cause of death was inconclusive.
In a news release, Harwood says his office now awaits toxicology results, which could take anywhere between 4 and 6 weeks to arrive.
A medical event has not been ruled out, however, investigators say they cannot make a conclusive declaration in the absence of the toxicology report.
The 44-year-old Edwards was pronounced dead shortly after he was found lying unresponsive between two parked cars on the Summer Camp festival grounds Sunday around 9:45 a.m.
Paramedics pronounced Edwards dead at 10:03 a.m.
There was no sign of trauma, and no foul play is suspected.
