PEORIA, Ill. — A man was hospitalized after a shooting in Peoria’s East Bluff neighborhood early Thursday morning.
Peoria Public Information Officer Semone Roth said officers were called to N. Maryland Street, between E. Republic and E. Arcadia, just after 4 a.m., responding to a Shot Spotter alert with 4 shots fired.
Before officers arrived, a man called police dispatch telling them he had been shot.
Officers found the man in a nearby alley. He was taken to a hospital by AMT.
The victim’s identity and condition were not available Thursday morning.
There’s been no suspect information released and no arrests have been made.
PPD is investigating.
