PEORIA, Ill. – The lead for the top two vote-getters for two seats on the Peoria Public School Board has widened a little.
With more vote by mail ballots counted Thursday, incumbent and school board president Greg Wilson and Paris McConnell have grown their leads for seats from District 2.
Wilson added 12 votes to his total, McConnell added 14, and Daniel Walther, in third place, added ten.
McConnell had a 15 vote lead on election night over incumbent Walther — now that lead is up to 19.
McConnell declared victory on her Facebook page, while Walther told 25 News on Wednesday he was still thinking about asking for a recount.
McConnell would be sworn in to office later this month.
Specific vote totals are below.
