PEORIA, Ill. — Just before 3 p.m. Thursday, Peoria Police were called to W. Marquette, near S. Griswold, on a ShotSpotter alert indicating six rounds were fired.
Peoria Police Spokesperson Semone Roth says officers found a man with a gunshot wound to the leg upon arrival. He was transported to a hospital for his injuries.
The incident followed another shooting just after 2:30 p.m. in the area of E. Archer and N. Indiana. A ShotSpotter alert indicated 11 rounds were fired.
PPD says an adult male suffered a graze wound. He was alert and talking when officers arrived.
No arrests have been made in either incident, and police have no suspects at this time.
Both incidents remain under investigation.
