PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria man will go to prison for several years after pleading guilty in connection with a shooting last December.
Court records indicate James Harris, 30, pleaded guilty Wednesday to a charge of Possession of a Weapon by a Felon.
In exchange, Attempted Murder and Aggravated Battery charges were dropped, and he was sentenced to two years and six months in prison, with credit for time served.
Harris was arrested December 15th, a day after the shooting at Malone and Arago in South Peoria.
The victim was seriously injured.
