PEORIA, Ill. –Peoria Police are announcing suspect information connecting two people to earlier carjackings involving local cab drivers as alleged victims.
One of the reported cab robberies happened on the night of June 30 in an area of 2400 N. University Street.
The other happened on August 7, further up University Street, closer to Forest Hill Avenue.
Peoria Police say they have already charged one juvenile suspect in the late June robbery, but on Thursday announced they are still looking for the other suspect involved in the early August robbery, identified as 18-year-old Omarvelous Blakes.
According to an updated news release issued on Thursday, Police are asking the public for help in finding him.
Blakes is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.
