UPDATED 6:12 P.M.
MORTON, Ill. – Damage was limited to items outside the facilities of Morton Industries when a fire broke out.
Crews spent hours using a ladder truck to try and put out a fire at what appeared to be plastic pallets or shipping containers stacked up behind the Morton Industries facility Thursday afternoon.
No one appeared to be hurt, but company and fire officials did not comment on the scene.
Morton Industries said they would issue a statement later.
Employees were eventually allowed to leave work for the day.
Firefighters from Morton and other departments briefly stopped when a tornado warning was issued, but otherwise spent hours at the scene.

MORTON, Ill. – Officials at Morton Industries are reporting a large fire has broken out at their facility.
There’s also reports of thick black smoke that could be seen from about a mile away.
Traffic is reported to be backed up or blocked on Courtland St. near the fire.
