PEORIA, Ill. – Peoria-area gas prices are said to have declined slightly compared to a week ago.
That’s according to agencies GasBuddy.com and AAA. Both have averages this week about four tenths of a cent lower than the week before.
Gas Buddy’s average is at $3.86, while AAA’s is at $3.87.
Gas Buddy’s analysts say there may have been a short-term peak for the price of gasoline, though it’s possible the high water mark for the summer has already occurred.
Gas Buddy says the cheapest price for a gallon of unleaded in Peoria was $3.68, while the most expensive was $4.09.
