PEORIA, Ill. — Peoria’s Public Works Department is giving away free mulch on Saturday, April 27, until 1 p.m., at their facility at 3505 N. Dries Lane.
Mulch is available on a first-come, first-serve basis for City of Peoria and Peoria County residents only.
Staff will assist with loading mulch into trucks or trailers during the event.
You’re encouraged to bring gloves, shovels and containers if you want to hand-load mulch yourself.
There’s no limit on the amount of mulch you can take. If extra mulch remains after the giveaway, Peoria and Peoria County residents can come pick it up while supply lasts at the Peoria Public Works Facility for hand-loading only.
