PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria County grand jury has indicted a man on one of two charges he originally faced in connection with a stabbing more than a month ago.
The grand jury filed a single Class-3 felony count of Aggravated Battery against Samuel Hicks, 43. He had previously also been charged with Aggravated Domestic Battery.
Hicks was arrested in early April at his home near Frink and Columbia Terrace, after another man in the home was allegedly stabbed with a knife.
The victim survived.
Hicks is scheduled to be arraigned next Thursday.
