PEORIA HEIGHTS, Ill. — Peoria Heights Police are searching for a vehicle that hit the side of a home overnight.
It happened around 2 a.m. Thursday near Marietta and Illinois Avenues, when the homeowner woke up to a loud noise.
Tire marks show the car was turning left, before it drove through the yard, hitting the house.
Damage was limited to the home’s siding and gutters.
Surveillance video shows it was a light-colored sedan that hit the home.
Investigators say the car likely has damage to the passenger side – possibly with yellow paint – along with damage to the front bumper and undercarriage.
