PEKIN, Ill. – A Pekin park that has long been an entertainment venue of sorts could get a bit of an upgrade sometime soon.
A committee is looking at adding on a small amphitheater to Mineral Springs Park.
The hope with a $1.2 million upgrade, the venue could do even more music, along with weddings and any other events.
Organizers tell 25 News if the money showed up tomorrow, they could have the building done by the end of the summer.
The location of an amphitheater would be just down the road from the park’s pavilion.
