PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria County jury has found Robert White guilty in the 2022 New Year’s shooting death of 33-year-old Daniela Jackson.
The verdict came Thursday after closing arguments were made the day before.
White was found guilty of 1st degree murder and aggravated battery by jurors.
Prosecutors argued during the trial that White made sexually-suggested comments while at a New Year’s party where an argument ensued. Four gunshots followed, one of which killed Jackson.
Sentencing is scheduled for July 12th.
White is also awaiting trial in the shooting death of 35-year-old Bridget Ross, which occurred later in the morning after the Jackson shooting.
