PEORIA, Ill. – Two people are in trouble with the law after one of them allegedly tried to steal a car Sunday night.
Peoria Police say a man was unhurt when he was threatened and forced away from his vehicle around 7:45 p.m. near Mactavish Road and Inverness in North Peoria.
The vehicle was later found near Virginia and California in the East Bluff.
31-year-old Dominick Clark allegedly fled the vehicle on foot but was arrested at a home soon thereafter.
He’s charged with Vehicular Hijacking and several weapons-related charges after a stolen gun was allegedly found inside the car.
A passenger in the car – 30-year-old Titrasha Lee – was arrested for Obstructing an Officer.
Lee is out of jail, while Clark remains.
