PEORIA, Ill. — A fire that started in a garage, spread to a garage nearby, then damaged a pair of homes last (Thursday) night around 8:00 in Peoria’s East Bluff.
Peoria Fire Battalion Chief Scott Strum said it appears the blaze was intentionally set. The two homes on East Corrington Avenue, near N. Wisconsin, were vacant.
Total damage is estimated at $110,000. No one was hurt.
The garage at 918 East Corrington, was a total loss. Strum said there was partial fire damage to the home.
The garage at 916 East Corrington had slight-to-moderate damage, and the home’s damage stemmed from exposure to radiant heat nearby.
