PEORIA, Ill. – More severe weather is possible in the Peoria area Friday, but it won’t be widespread.
25 News First Alert Chief Meteorologist Chuck Collins says Central Illinois could see a few scattered strong to severe thunderstorms Friday morning into early afternoon.
“Most of the activity should be south of our area, nothing widespread like we saw Thursday,” Collins says.
Damaging winds and large hail are the primary threats, Collins says.
Occasional storm chances continue Saturday and Sunday, and once again the main threat should be south of the Peoria metro area.
