PEORIA, Ill. – The cause of a fire to a home late Friday evening in Peoria is not quite known at this time.
Firefighters were called to a house in the area of Central and Arcadia just before 10:30 P.M. They arrived to find fire showing from the rear of the house.
Multiple crews fought the fire on the home’s first and second floors, while another crew isolated utility lines to be able to search the house.
The house’s two occupants were able to escape before firefighters arrived on scene.
Once the fire was put out, fans were used to push smoke out from the home.
A fire investigator and a K-9 were called to determine the cause of the fire, but it’s currently listed as “undetermined.”
There were no injuries. Damage to the house is estimated at around $100,000.
