PEORIA, Ill. – The Peoria man who’s accused of committing the city’s 10th homicide of the year is now facing refreshed charges by a county grand jury.
The grand jury Tuesday indicted Tramier Pate, 23, on two counts of First-Degree Murder, and one count of Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon.
Pate was arrested not long after the June 26th shooting near Richwoods and Mollek, claiming the life of Omarius Gates, 14.
Prosecutors claim Pate was trying to steal what turned out to be a toy gun Gates had, when Pate’s gun fired.
Pate is jailed on$1.5 million bond, and is scheduled for arraignment July 27th.
