WARREN, Pa. – Authorities in Pennsylvania say a man who escaped a county prison more than a week ago has been found.
Pennsylvania State Police confirm Michael Charles Burham was taken in to custody Saturday afternoon, “at gunpoint,” according to a report from FOX News.
Burham reportedly escaped the Warren County Prison nine days prior. He was identified by a resident of the county and claimed, when appearing in the backyard of a Warren County, Pennsylvania home, that he was on a “camping trip.”
FOX News reports Burham will not return to the jail he escaped from, using a rope made of bed sheets. But, it’s not clear where he will be incarcerated.
Burham, an Army veteran and so-called “survivalist,” was being held on kidnapping and related charges in Pennsylvania, and also was a suspect in New York state in a murder and rape investigation.
