PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria man will spend several years in federal prison after guns were found in a car he was in earlier this year.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office says a federal judge last week sentenced Jermaine Allison, 29, to 40 months in prison after pleading guilty in March to Possession of a Weapon by a Felon.
Allison was arrested back in January, after a car Peoria Police discovered him in, had several guns in it, including a loaded handgun in front of where he was seated.
He allegedly fled the scene but was arrested a short time later.
Allison must spend three years on parole when he’s released.
