MORTON, Ill. – The Tazewell County coroner has now identified the victim of a motorcycle vs car crash Sunday afternoon.
Coroner Charles Hanley says 67-year-old Donald Butterfield, of rural Tremont, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash…Washington Road and East Jefferson Street in rural Morton just before 2:45 p.m.
The crash happened about an hour earlier.
Hanley says Butterfield died of multiple blunt force injuries he suffered in the crash. He was wearing a helmet.
The crash remains under investigation and toxicology tests are still pending.
MORTON, Ill. – A rural Tremont man is dead after a crash involving his motorcycle and a car.
Tazewell County Coroner Charles Hanley says the identity of the 67-year-old rural Tremont man will be released after an autopsy Tuesday.
The crash happened just before 2:00 Sunday afternoon near Washington Road and East Jefferson Street in rural Morton.
Hanley says the motorcycle operator was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other details about the accident were released.
