PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria County grand jury filed indictments in a number of cases Tuesday. Among them:
*A Peoria County grand jury filed counts of Aggravated Fleeing and Eluding, and Aggravated Assault, against 25-year-old Brandon Collier.
He’s accused of driving a car at a Bartonville Police officer, which the charging documents call an assault, on July 25th.
Then, a day later, after Collier allegedly ignored a police officer’s commands to stop his vehicle, fled, speeding more than 21 miles per hour over the speed limit.
Collier is in jail, and is scheduled to be arraigned in both cases a week from Thursday.
*The grand jury indicted 26-year-old Seldrick Carpenter, Junior for Arson Tuesday.
He’s accused of setting someone else’s SUV on fire in mid-July on Terra Vista Drive in North Peoria back on July 19th./
Carpenter was released from custody, but is scheduled to be back in court Thursday for arraignment.
