PEORIA, Ill. – Peoria Police are looking for a suspect in the city’s 13th homicide of the year that occurred early Saturday morning.
Officers responded at around 3:47 A.M. to the area of E. Arcadia and N. California on a ShotSpotter alert of four rounds fired.
Another alert of 15 rounds fired came after in the same area, with a third alert of four rounds occurring moments later in the area of E. Thrush and N. California.
An adult male was found by officers at E. Arcadia with an apparent gunshot wound. The male succumbed to his injuries after lifesaving measures were performed, and was pronounced dead.
The Peoria County Coroner will release the victim’s identity and manner of death.
The incident is under investigation.
