UPDATE 8/23 10:20 A.M. – The Peoria County coroner says a 17-year-old boy who was shot Tuesday night in Peoria’s East Bluff has died.
Jamie Harwood says the teenager was taken to OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in grave condition, and despite aggressive efforts, Dahvie Brown-Bay, of Peoria, was pronounced dead at 2:25 a.m. Wednesday.

UPDATED 11:52 P.M.
PEORIA, Ill. – A teenager has been shot and seriously injured in the East Bluff area.
A Peoria Police spokesperson says the shooting occurred in the area of North Wisconsin and East Kansas.
The shooting occurred just before 8:00 P.M. Tuesday.
Not many details are being released, but police say the teen male was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police are not giving out any information on a suspect, but say the investigation is continuing.
