HOUSTON, Texas (FOX News) – The campaign for the White House in 2024 is just getting underway, but Republicans are making plans for 2028.
The Republican National Committee announced on Friday that Houston will host its 2028 national convention. The Democratic National Committee has yet to announce its 2028 plans.
The 2024 national convention for Republicans is being held in Milwaukee, while the 2024 Democratic national convention will be held in Chicago.
RNC Chairwoman says the convention will showcase the best of Houston, Texas, and the Republican party. She says the city made a convincing pitch to host the event.
“It was one of the best bids I have ever seen for any city for any convention, and I have no doubt that they will put together one of the best conventions that the entire country has ever seen in 2028,” McDaniel said.
McDaniel says she believes that when the 2028 convention comes around for the Republican party, they’ll be renominating their candidate.
