CHESTER COUNTY, Penn. (FOX News) – The search continued Monday in Pennsylvania for an escaped murder convict that broke out of prison last week.
Danelo Cavalcante was sentenced to life in prison for the 2021 murder of his ex-girlfriend. FOX News reports he was last seen in Pocopson Township.
Cavalcante is described as Hispanic with black hair and brown eyes, 5’ tall, and weighing 120 lbs.
Pennsylvania State Police Lieutenant Colonel George Bivens says they have narrowed down a search area.
“We have secured that area and continue to actively search for it. While there are a number of challengers, we are confident that if he is in there, we will find him,” Bivens said.
Bivens says they also believe Cavalcante is desperate, and they’re trying to use that to their advantage. He says, if needed, deadly force is authorized if Cavalcante doesn’t surrender.
