PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria man was arrested Wednesday afternoon after reportedly conducting several illegal drug transactions.
Peoria Police says they observed an adult male conducting a transaction from inside a vehicle in the area of Main St. and Monroe St. at around 3:44 P.M.
Officers followed the vehicle and observed the male, later identified as 43-year-old Telis Bailey, conducting several other transactions in the downtown area.
The vehicle stopped in the area of Jefferson and Wayne, and Bailey was taken into custody when he exited the vehicle.
Officers reportedly found a large amount of illegal drugs and money inside the vehicle during a search of it.
Bailey was questioned and then arrested on charges of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver, and numerous traffic offenses.
He was taken to the Peoria County Jail.
