PEORIA, Ill. – Two Peoria women have been arrested after a SWAT team paid a visit to a South Peoria home Thursday morning.
Peoria Police say the home in question on Smith Street near DuSable had been under investigation for drug sales when a search occurred around 6:00 a.m.
Officers say illegal drugs, packaging, equipment, and a loaded rifle were found in the house.
Both Sidney Bell-Young, 32, and Yadonyce McDonald, 36, were arrested on charges of Armed Violence, Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Possession of a Weapon by a Felon, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Distribution of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of a Firearm Without a Valid FOID Card.
The two were given notices to appear in court according to jail records, but both remained locked up on outstanding warrants.
