PEORIA, Ill. – Peoria fire crews were called overnight to a residential fire in the area of E. McClure and N. Indiana.
Fire Battalion Chief Scott Strum said the call came in around 11:40 p.m. Monday. Smoke was showing from the back of the two-story home.
A search found no one inside the home. Strum says four people, an adult and three children, had evacuated before firefighters arrived.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. No injuries were reported.
The family living in the home was displaced, and secured their own temporary housing.
