PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria woman was arrested as part of an investigation into a suspected carjacking Thursday night.
Peoria Police say they were alerted to a potential robbery near Knoxville and Pennsylvania just after 9:00 p.m. A victim claims he was driving on Bigelow when a vehicle stopped in front of him, and two allegedly armed males got out, robbed him, and demanded his vehicle before fleeing.
The vehicle was later found near Laramie and Grinnell, with Dallas Debattista, 19, allegedly behind the wheel.
She was released from the Peoria County Jail after getting Notices to Appear in Court on counts of Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
The two original suspects have yet to be found.
