PEORIA, Ill. – Sometimes barking is a good thing…especially if it’s the annual “Bark in the Park” event.
The Peoria Humane Society is inviting you to bring your four-legged friends to Peoria Heights’ Tower Park on Saturday from 10-1 for some fun.
Kitty Yanko, with the Peoria Humane Society, tells WMBD’s “Greg and Dan Show”, to many, pets are an important part of the family. And, helping animals in need is what “Bark in the Park” is all about.
“You know it’s heart-warming to see how people really respond to the needs of the animals. If we have a cruelty situation going on, the community really rallies around that…and it’s amazing,” Yanko says.
Events at Saturday’s 27th “Bark in the Park” will include a Marvelous Mutt Show, a Dog Parade, photos with your pet, paw print painting, a cake walk and more.
Money raised during “Bark in the Park” at Tower Park will help care for local pets and educate the community about caring for them.
