PEORIA, Ill. โ A Peoria woman is under arrest for the cityโs 23rd homicide of the year Monday morning.
Peoria Police say TNashia Wash, 18, was arrested for First-Degree Murder and taken to jail after questioning.
Police say the shooting happened around 5:15 a.m. on North Ellis Street, near Elizabeth and Columbia Terrace.
The Peoria County Coroner says police found Roderick Richardson, 30, inside the home with what police called โobvious injuries consistent with gunshot woundsโ and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Itโs believed there was an altercation inside the home that led to the shooting.
An autopsy on Richardson is expected Tuesday.
