CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – A bank based in Champaign but with a presence in Peoria has a now-former leader.
The parent company of Busey Bank says, in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, that bank CEO Robin Elliott has entered into a separation agreement.
The filing came on the same day First Busey Corporation announced that in the third quarter, total deposits increased, net income increased slightly, short-term borrowing decreased, and net revenue went down.
Documents with the filing indicate that Elliott will transition into a consultant role until the end of the year, and will get $2 million in cash on his way out.
Busey Bank has a number of locations in Peoria and East Peoria, among other spots in several states.
