PEORIA, Ill. – Firefighters were called to a home on E. Frye in Peoria Sunday night.
Peoria Fire Battalion Chief Jeff Hascall says around 8:15 p.m., crews found heavy smoke coming from the one-story home.
A search of the home found no one inside. The fire was knocked down quickly.
An investigator says an electrical problem appears to have started the fire.
The house was under renovation and vacant at the time of the fire.
No firefighter injuries were reported.
Damage is estimated at $10,000.
