PEORIA, Ill. – We know more about what turned out to be Peoria’s 25th homicide of this year, which occurred over the weekend.
Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood says an autopsy on Deandre Blocker, Sr., 50, shows he suffered from multiple gunshot wounds and likely died moments after the shooting.
Police say it happened before 10 p.m. Saturday near Frye and New York in the East Bluff Area, with at least four shots being fired.
No word on a suspect, or the status of the investigation.
The number of homicides this year so far in Peoria is equal to all of last year.
