SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – There will soon be a new judge in the circuit covering Peoria, Tazewell, and some other local counties.
The Illinois Supreme Court says Caroline Border Campion has been appointed to serve as a judge in the 10th Judicial Circuit.
She’s currently the State’s Attorney in Stark County, but the judgeship will start February 13th, replacing Judge Bruce Fehrenbacher, who died last November.
Campion – a former Peoria County Assistant State’s Attorney – is also running so far unopposed for nomination to a full term on the bench.
According to the order, the Bradley University grad will stay in Stark County, and will be their Resident Circuit Judge.
