ORLANDO, Fl. – She didn’t make the top 11, but Jessica Tilton, a Washington native and medical student at Southern Illinois University, represented Illinois Sunday night at the Miss America pageant.
Miss Colorado, Madison March, was crowned Miss America.
The Miss America organization is one of the top providers of scholarships for young women in the U.S.
The pageant was not televised this year, but was streamed online.
