PEORIA, Ill. – A longtime publication of the Catholic Diocese of Peoria is coming to an end.
Bishop Louis Tylka says the Catholic Post will cease publication in the coming month.
25 News reports according to a letter written by Tylka, it became difficult to find a new editor after the previous one retired.
That, along with increasing costs are to blame for the move.
Tylka says he’s looking for other ways to share the news of the Diocese.
The Peoria Diocese covers an extensive portion of Northern and Central Illinois.
The Catholic Post published for the better part of 90 years.
