PEORIA, Ill. – Due to icy road conditions on Monday morning, Peoria’s trash collection will be delayed this week.
GFL will not collect trash or recycling on Monday in Peoria. This will push back trash pickups for the rest of the week.
If your collection day is Monday, your pickup will be Tuesday.
If your collection day is Tuesday, your pickup will be Wednesday.
If your collection day is Wednesday, your pickup will be Thursday.
If your collection day is Thursday, your pickup will be Friday.
If your collection day is Friday, your pickup will be Saturday.
GFL’s normal collection schedules will resume next week.
Due to extra crews and potential delays after the storm, your pick-up time might be different than usual. To avoid missing a collection, recycling and trash carts must be set out by 6 am the day before your scheduled day. Do not place carts on snow piles or in the street. If possible, place carts at the end of your driveway and make sure your carts are facing toward the street and wheels to the house.
If you miss pickup, wait until after 6 pm on the day after your regular collection day to submit a Missed Pickup Form.
The Peoria City/County Landfill will be closed Monday. This primarily affects residents who haul their own waste.
