PEORIA, Ill. – Average gas prices in Peoria have jumped over 16 cents in the last week, averaging $3.23 on Monday, according to GasBuddy.
Prices in Peoria are nearly 17 cents higher than a month ago, but nearly 35 cents lower than this time last year.
GasBuddy price reports show the cheapest gas in Peoria was $3.04 on Sunday and the most expensive gas was $3.30. The lowest price in the state on Sunday was $2.59, while the highest priced gas was $4.59.
GasBuddy’s national average price has risen 4.5 cents in the last week, averaging $3.07 on Monday.
Meanwhile, AAA says the average price of gas in the Peoria-Pekin metro area is $3.24. Illinois’ average price is $3.21 and the national average price of gas is $3.10 a gallon.
