LEWISTOWN, Ill. – A former Lewistown High School teacher has received multiple charges after allegedly providing alcohol to juvenile students.
The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office says an investigation was conducted on January 3rd after a report was received that a staff member provided alcohol to several students.
During the investigation, it was learned by detectives that Yanni Saddler, 27, reportedly engaged in an inappropriate relationship with one of the juvenile students.
25 News reports Saddler resigned shortly after the investigation after reportedly confessing to providing alcohol to a student outside of the school. Saddler was a basketball coach and physical education teacher at Lewistown High School.
Saddler is charged with Official Misconduct, Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor, Unlawful Delivery of Alcohol to Minor, and Endangering the Life or Health of a Child.
The investigation by the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Fulton County State’s Attorney’s Office, Lewistown and Canton Police Departments, and Department of Children and Family Services.
