PEORIA, Ill. – Gas prices in Peoria haven’t moved much in the past week, down just over a penny, averaging at $3.22 on Monday.
According to GasBuddy’s survey of stations in Peoria, Peoria’s prices are nearly 28 cents higher than a month ago, but nearly 32 cents lower than this time last year.
GasBuddy says the cheapest gas in Peoria was $2.99 a gallon on Sunday, while the most expensive gas was $3.29 a gallon. Illinois’ lowest price for gas on Sunday was $2.53 a gallon, while the most expensive gas was $4.59.
The national average gas price jumped 4.3 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.12 a gallon on Monday, up four cents from a month ago, but 32.5 cents lower than a year ago.
Meanwhile, AAA says the Peoria-Pekin metro area’s average gas price is $3.22, the state’s average price is $3.18 and the national average price for unleaded gas is $3.14.
