PEORIA, Ill. – Over the two days, Midwest Communications’ 104.9 The Wolf is raising money and awareness for the kids at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
Wolf personalities Mike Stechman and John Young will be on-the-air from 6 am-6 pm Thursday and Friday with heart-felt stories of the children treated at St. Jude, some of them from right here in Central Illinois.
The Wolf’s Mike Stechman spoke with WMBD’s “Greg and Dan” Thursday morning.
“Last Sunday was World Cancer Day that we celebrate this month, today (Thursday) is International Childhood Cancer Day to recognize this terrible disease. Today (Thursday) marks the 62nd year for St. Jude, thanks to Danny Thomas this year…and we are proud to say, after 35 years, this is our 32nd annual Country Cares (radio-thon) for St. Jude,” Stechman says.
