PEORIA, Ill. – A family is honoring their fallen loved one – a retired Police Officer – by remembering what he devoted his career to doing..
“We would like to thank Officer Robert W. Molleck for serving our community,” said Captain Earnest McCall, Peoria Police, during a short ceremony Monday. “The family of Officer Molleck would like to honorably dedicate his Peoria Police Benevolent and Protection Association badge, number 503, to the Peoria Police Department’s museum. May his life and service never be forgotten.

“Thank you. He had a great life and enjoyed every moment of it,” said Ms. Molleck.
“We thank you for his service and your dedication, and the sacrifices you made on his behalf and our behalf,” said McCall.
Molleck died in June,2020, at the age of 90. He spent 26 years on the Peoria force, retiring in 1981 as commander of the patrol division.
